The Hot Spot

Last night in the East Harlem section of New York City, an off duty police officer was shot.This morning reports have said that the officer had just got off of work and was walking to his car when he saw another man breaking into the car. He confronted the man who started to run. The officer chased the crook with his gun drawn. Meanwhile three other plained clothed officers saw the off duty cop running with a gun and believed him to be a criminal. They shot at the officer which later led to be a fatal shooting. The on duty officer who shot the fatal shot was a white officer and the officer who has died was black. This means that there will be an investigation about race.Being a resident of this great city, I really hate when I hear that an officer’s been shot. I believe that this event was an accident and a case of mistaken identity, but the city will still do an investigation (which they should). I feel for the family who the officer has left behind; a wife and a year old child.I hope that they will be in everyones prayers.
