Howard K. Stern, Anna Nicole’s Former Boyfriend, Charged with Drug Conspiracy

Former boyfriend and attorney of Anna Nicole Smith and two doctors have been charged with giving drugs to Anna when she was still alive. Anna was a former Playboy playmate who died in February 2007 of a drug overdose at the young age of 39.  

Doctors Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich along with Howard K. Stern were charged with three felony counts on conspiracy on Thursday in Los Angeles. Howard K. Stern was arrested in Whittier, California and bail was set for $20,000. 

The three men were also charged with eight other felonies split between them all. These   charges happened between June 2004 and January 2007 and included fraudulent prescriptions and unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance.

Anna’s son also died of a drug overdose back in September of 2006. She and Stern exchanged vows in a commitment ceremony shortly after her sons death. Stern had once claimed to be the father of Anna’s daughter, but after testing a judge stated that Larry Birkhead was the father.
