Fun Little Art Called… ACEO’S
I discovered this great fad in the art world called ACEO’s about 6 months ago and have been making them ever since. These cards are like any other trading card and always measure up to be 3.5” x 2.5” in size. This is the standard for most trading cards including baseball. ACEO stands for art cards, editions, and originals. Art cards can be prints or original pieces of art and can be made out of really any art medium.
ACEO’s originally were just traded between artists, but recently the public has been buying these miniature pieces of at up. They are a great way to et a piece of art without paying the high prices. Most cards come in a protective plastic sleeve and can be kept in frame or photo album. If you are an artist or a lover of the arts, these cards are a great way to sell and collect little pieces of talent.
How to make ACEO’s…
Prints art cards
Take a picture of your work.
Shrink the image to be 3.5” x 2.5” in size.
Print off on high quality paper (watercolor paper, photo paper, card stock).
You can them place these cards in plastic sleeve (standard trading card sleeves work fine).
Original art cards
Get high quality paper (watercolor paper, photo paper, card stock) and directly produce original artwork on it.
Make sure the image is 3.5” x 2.5” in size.
Place these cards in plastic sleeve (standard trading card sleeves work fine).
