My Friend Kelly

My very good friend, one since I have known since I was a child, is a very talented artist that is from the Western New York area. Kelly O’Connell has lived in Buffalo, NY her whole life and continues to live in the city today, which is also my hometown. She enhanced her artistic skills by attending art school and received a Bachelors in Fine Arts from the State University at Buffalo. 

Kelly does not limit herself to one concentration, medium, or style but to a variety including painting, jewelry design, tapestry designer, and photography. She gets her ideas from patterns and symbols from nature and the worlds many cultures. She is currently working on beaded jewelry based on animal patterns such as snake skin and coloring. You can find her and her artwork on The Art Page, an online gallery that I created. She is also on MySpace and is definitely a natural talent and great artist.
