Michelle Obama’s Gown
Michelle Obama’s Gown
Michelle Obama looked stunning last night at the Neighborhood Ball. She wore a sparkling white bare-shoulder gown that was custom-made for her by 26-year-old designer Jason Wu. The dress had floral embellishments and beading. According to reporters, Jason Wu sewed the dress himself back in December. “It’s soft, feminine, but powerful,” said Jason. “I wanted to convey all that in a dress — I wanted it to look like a sign of hope.” He sent the sketches to her but had no idea that she would be wearing it until last night when he saw her in it.
This gown was a vast contrast from the chartreuse dress that she wore to the inauguration ceremony earlier that day. The gown was so elegant and fit Michelle Obama perfectly. Even the new president himself liked it and announced it by saying, “First of all, how good-looking is my wife?”
