On CBS last night, the nominations were announced for this years Grammy Awards. The actual 51st Grammy Awards will be held on February 2, 2009 on CBS. This year’s nominations were announced in a different way by adding an hour long concert special along with the announcements. The concert special was hosted by LL Cool J and Taylor Swift and artists such as Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, John Mayer and B.B. King performed. Nominees included British rockers Coldplay and Lil Wayne for album of the year, The Jonas Brothers for best new artist, and many more artists were in the mix.
