Pushing Daisies is a wonderfully imaginative television show that premiered in America on October 3, 2007 on ABC. Since that date, I have been watching the show and have been keeping up with the continuing theme. It was created by Bryan Fuller and is described as a forensic like show with a fairy tale, magical touch. The show’s whimsical theme reminds me of a fairy tale with a little gore added. Sort of like the movies, “ A Series of Unfortunate Events” or “ Sweeney Todd.”
Pushing Daisies is about a pie-maker, named Ned, who has the power to bring the dead back to life with a single touch. He and his private detective partner, Emerson, solve murder mysteries by waking the dead and getting unanswered questions that only the victims would know. Ned has a girlfriend named Chuck, who he brought back to life in the first episodes. He must avoid touching her or she will die forever. Each episode is a new murder mystery and a new case to solve, with the drama of the character lives.
Pushing Daisies is just a fun show to watch with the family. Enjoy it on Wednesday nights at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.
