Obama Wins our Votes!
Last night we as American’s made history by electing Democratic nominee Barack Obama as the first African-American elected and our 44th president of the United States of America. Barack Obama spoke to a crowd of 125,000 supporters and stated, “Change has come to America.” Thousands also gathered on Pennsylvania Avenue outside the White House and cheered, “Obama! Obama!”
Senator John McCain congratulated Barack Obama in being elected President and urged all Americans to stand behind him. McCain spoke to his supporters in Phoenix and said, “I pledge to him (Barack Obama) tonight to do all in my power to help him lead us through the many challenges we face.” Sarah Palin stood right behind him as he spoke.
Congratulations to Barack Obama and the Democratic party. We have a long way to get our country back on it’s feet, but I believe that we can do it.
