San Gennaro Festival
The annual feast of San Gennaro will be held this week. The feast is New York City’s oldest, biggest, and most famous religious street festival. The festival will start on Thursday, September 11, 2008 and will end 11 days later on Sunday, September 12, 2008.
The festival will be located in New York City’s historic Little Italy district, on Mulberry Street. It is expected to attract more than 1 million people. The festival will have entertainment filled with a religious possession, cannoli eating contest, Italian foods, and parades. There will be musical entertainment as well. This festival celebrates the italian heritage and culture, one hat every background can enjoy and celebrate.
