Barack Obama Clarifies “Lipstick” Comment

Democratic presidential candidate, Senator Barack Obama cleared up his recent “Lipstick on a Pig” comment last night on the Late Show with David Letterman. This comment has caused a lot of controversy between both presidential sides, especially with the Republican VP candidate, Sarah Palin.

Senator Barack Obama explained that this comment is one that is very common “in at least Illinois.” The Senator explained that his comment referred to the faulty policy ideas of John McCain and how the Republican party is trying to pass these ideas off as change. “Just calling (ideas) change, calling them different doesn’t make it better, hence lipstick on a pig,” said Obama. Senator Barack Obama said that Vice President candidate Sarah Palin would be the lipstick and John McCain’s failed policies would be the pig.

As a voter and someone who really wants change in Washington, I hope Senator Barack Obama cleared any controversial aspects of his comment up and of the Democratic party ideas.
